Wilderness is love for a lot of us and for those who are just haunted by the stupid stories should experience this by exploring some of the most rich and amazing places and fall in love! 1. Madagascar madagascarThis is the place that changed the whole perception of wild and wilderness. Thanks to the movies, the place needs no introduction even to a 7 year old kid. Popularly known for its lemurs, this place is a wild paradise of birds and reptiles. Though Lemur protection has become a cause of concern and a huge effort is being done to restore what is lost.  2. Great Barrier Reef, Australia This place needs no introduction for the diversity of its marine life. Indeed a world wonder, the reef stretches across a mind-boggling 200 km with every living organism colored with minutest of detailing.  3. Bolivia boliviaIts’ sometimes better for man to stop intervening because that’s how we have the best preserved ecosystem, Parque Nacional Madidi, in place. You would be surprised to know that this place is home to 44% of known mammal species, 38% of tropical amphibian species, a little more than 10% of all bird species we know till now and huge diversity of Amazonian creatures.  4. Botswana Botswana-WildlifeBotswana actually feels like a wildlife dedicated country with over 35% of the land coming under the protected area. It sustains a huge variety of wildlife including our favorites lions, giraffes, hippos, elephants, zebras and antelopes. It is said once you visit these jungles, you would start valuing little things in life while you see dancing sand lizards, dung beetles among the little life containing colorful species.  5. Costa Rica costa-ricaMost aware place in the world with respect to environment protection and sustainability, Costa Rica has an adorable variety of monkeys, languid sloths, poison-dart frogs, lizards, crocodiles, birds, insects and butterflies among our other usual favorites.  6. Kenya kenyaThink of Kenya and my mind get visions of safari inside those lush green jungles travelling around leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. Somehow the stories I grew up with never scared me of the wilds. The wilderness of Kenya will make you befriend it so easily!  7. Everglades, USA evergladesFun fact of the day! Everglades is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles seem to live together in peace. Home to some really interesting species like spoonbill, wood stork and egrets, this place is just a 45-min drive from Miami. And the good news is, this place is open all through the year with certain restrictions in some areas in wet summer months.  8. Belize   belizeBelize is what we call the hub of wilderness with species of critters and mammals inhabiting the place. It is an abode to the rare species like Baird’s tapirs, scarlett macawa and adorable ones like pacas(giant guinea pigs), jaguars. You would even want to hire a guide to spy through some areas to get to meet the rare ones. Just once, get your backpack ready and lose yourself to the wild and I promise there will be no coming back!
