1. Trou aux Biches Beach
Referred to as the best beach in Mauritius by many due to various factors like sand quality, weather conditions and facilities available here, Trou aux Biches is around 2 km long. Protected by coral reefs, this is a great place for snorkelling and also for sunbathing. Come evening, you get the most majestic view of the Mauritian sunset from here!
2. Pereybere Beach
Great for snorkelling owing to the deep waters here, it is a famous beach amongst both locals and tourists. Full of life, it is always bustling with tourists from all over. You find some great food stalls around here.
3. Blue Bay BeachOnce you reach here, you will realise where the name comes from. The various shades of blue shine from every possible angle here! This is one place in Mauritius where it is hard to get a bad picture!

4. Belle Mare Beach
Famous for its unique combination of colours, here the turquoise deep blue lagoon ends, changes to turquoise crystal clear water in the beach area and ends up in a clean beach which is bordered to lush green vegetation.
5. Ile aux Cerfs Beach
This is an island beach and is easily accessible from the mainland by boats. Once you land here you realise why visitors term it the ‘paradise’! Such is the beauty of this tiny island that you must take one day out of your itinerary for this one place alone. Benefitted by calm waters and beautiful crystal clear colours, this is one of the most visited tourist destinations on the island.
6. Riviere des Galets Beach
It is a great place to enjoy an amazing view of the sea and to watch the waves crashing on the shore. Here, you can literally breathe the sea, feel the breeze and enjoy a beautiful view of the south mountain range.
7. Flic en Flac Beach
One of the longest beaches here, this beach has white sand and a turquoise blue lagoon. The fact that it is entirely protected by corals allows for calm waves and thus is a perfect place for swimming. Also, the sunsets here are breathtakingly beautiful! 8. Le Morne Beaches
Feel like pumping up your adrenaline? Particularly famous for wind surfers and kite surfers, this is the place with perfect wind conditions all-round the year. Located on the south west tip of Mauritius, the Le Morne peninsula hosts some of the best places on the island to view sunsets. The public beach here is picturesque with white coral sand, very clear water providing excellent visibility, trees scattered around the beach and beautiful scenery with the Le Morne Mountain as an impressive background!
