Goa is one place that never ceases to charm with its various colours of fun and frolic. If you are a level up and wish to pamper your adventure streak, you are probably looking for a destinationnone other than Goa offering a range of adventure activities and water sports for a completely thrilling experience.
Following are some of the best adventure activities, Goa is known for:
1. Jet Skiing
With a very reasonable charge, this sport can be done in Goa in the months of October to April. Mostly 3 people can do it at once and it is highly recommended to get a trainer along in case you are not very much used to it. Arambol, Colva, Calangute, Candolim, Miramar and Aguada Beach are the ideal places in Goa for Jet-Skiing.
The feeling of absolute freedom is how I define Para-sailing when you see the boundless blue waters and your own self crossing the limitations flying past the seas. Majorda Beach, Candolim Beach, Baga Beach, and Anjuna Beach are your havens for para-sailing! Para-sailing is usually good on all sunny days but you would love it more in the rainy season or any day when there are strong wind-currents.
This activity is my personal favourite for the simple realization it sets in mind that every problem is among the millions and billions of problems that millions of common people face commonly when you see a broader view from above. Too much philosophy!
Calangute and Arambol Beach are the best places for Paragliding while you can enjoy paragliding during September to March.
Goa is among the toughest yet most adventurous places for surfing in India. Yes its for the light hearted but at the same time there is nothing that matches to the thrill of surfing. Patnem Beach, Agonda Beach, Calangute Beach, Colva Beach, Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach, Baga Beach, Palolem Beach, Dona Puala Beach, Miramar Beach and Bogmalo Beach are your places to get your adrenaline on. Also, it is highly recommended to avoid Surfing in Goa during April to June and then September to December.
Beaches gives a unique kayaking experience for the simple reason of boundless waters. If surfing seems a little tough in Goa, Kayaking becomes all the more wonderful and thrilling. Dona Paula Beach is your hot spot for this amazing activity.
Even if you leave the beaches behind, Goa competes for the amazing views and adventure trails of Mollem, Sanguem and Valpoi. The Sahyadri Hills are among the best bets for the most unique trekking expedition. October to December is the best time to tread these adventure trails.
The mixture of sailing and surfing, wind surfing is one of the most thrilling activities to try in Goa. Baga Beach, Miramar Beach, Arossim Beach, Benaulim Beach, Calangute Beach, Vagator Beach, Bogmalo Beach and Utorda Beach are the best places for Wind-surfing in Goa while October to May is the best time to try this activity.
Though fishing permits are must before you go try this activity in Goa and you can get them from Fisheries Department. Goa waters have an extensive variety of unique fishes like Rockfish, Stingray, Guitarfish, Salmon, Mullet and Surmai. It is highly recommended to hire a local guide because it is a little risky to try angling alone in Goa.
It needs a bigger heart to not try all these activities for if you try once, it will be difficult for you to keep that count to 1. You just can not resist not doing it again and again. And Goa indeed turns out to be jack of all adventure activities. You can comment below and share your favourite adventure activity and may be how it feels while you do it!
